One Year GAW...winner selected

Generating random number in one hour...last call if interested.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Very nice introduction, Jennifer! Its a pleasure to have you on our porch. I hope you stay awhile. Please count me in if I'm not too late to the party.

Yes I have picked a winner via a random number generator, but first, a few comments. Some of you had some nice things to say and even a question from one of you, so I just wanted to write a few responses where I felt they were warranted. I waited until the end so I didn’t mess with the number generator and got a winner on the first try. Please forgive me in advance for any misspellings and any other idiot things I may have done in the following comments. I really appreciate everyone taking time to get in on this GAW, welcome me, post pictures and your kindness. To all who have posted pics in the mug shot thread, thanks. I've enjoyed reading that and getting to know some of you - or at least put a name and face together. Anyway, on to the good stuff. So, here goes...

jkulysses - Thanks for your kind words. Our transactions here have been my pleasure.

mr_badexample - Glad that Camillus tuxedo is in good hands and has a great home. Hope you will enjoy it for many years to come. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Sonnemann - I appreciate your compliments on my writing and taste in knives. And yes, I am lucky to be able to share such an interesting and fun hobby with my husband. If he only knew how lucky he was I’d be set! Just kidding...I’m the lucky one.

akadave - Love the knife. Thanks for sharing.

r8shell - A nice collection of little knives you have there. The Boker looks like it would be a very friendly pocket carry.

Jack Black - Hope your God-daughter hangs on to that knife forever. What a great gift and a beautiful gesture. I’m sure she will hold it with high regard for a lifetime. From what I’ve read here on the forums, you are one of the good guys. Your gesture to her just reinforces that fact. Thanks for being you.

Mike Berkovitch - That’s a beautiful knife you’re carrying.

black mamba - Stay at home grandpa’s have a special place in my heart. Grandparents share memories with children that parents cannot. They are a welcome and important part of a child’s life. That Scagel is a very unique piece. Thanks for sharing.

pistonsandgears - Glad the cadet has some alox friends. They are great knives. Hope you will continue to enjoy it.

Daniel Dorn - I wish your wife the best as she re-enters the “real world” work force. After raising children most other jobs will be a piece of cake - well maybe not, but at least she has developed the patience to deal with countless situations with grace (kids have a way of doing that to you) and that will serve her well in any situation. I wish her and your family many blessings in this new stage in all your lives.

Thalestin - You’re right. Soon enough it’ll be five years and I will wonder where all the time went. And thanks to you for welcoming the ladies.

Zippofan - Love your Case pen knife. Keep meaning to pick one of those up for myself...just seems like I find something else I “need” first. A good pen knife certainly doesn’t attract a lot of attention but can get the job done most of the time.

sitflyer - My NC friend - I certainly wouldn’t want to make your precious jealous! Thanks for sharing the picture. Love that pattern.

naturalist - A beautiful and useful knife there - a classic in so many ways. Mine is sharing pocket time today with my Opinel N0. 6.

clutchcarter - Great picture of a great knife. I can understand why it is a favorite.

paulhilborn - Thanks for giving that Vic Pioneer a good home, and it was certainly my pleasure doing business with you. I also enjoyed “meeting” you on the mug shots thread.

knifecollector73 - Yes, my husband does carry knives as well, but mostly modern folders - Spyderco, Benchmade or Kershaw. I think he likes traditional knives but finds one hand openers with a clip more his style. I joke with him that he’s just too lazy to do any extra work. Of course he lack of interest means more for me, so I’m not too upset about it.

Let It Bleed - A small stockman knife made by Western was one of the main reasons I really began researching and trying traditional knives. They are small enough to be carried easily in an any of my pockets and have a useful set of blades, in my opinion. I love the peanut too, and am carrying my yellow CV right now. I love both and find them both as much as I need most of the time.

Bigfattyt - Awesome picture of a beautiful knife. Too bad I wasn’t there to nab it while you were focusing on that shot, but hey, maybe next time! Seriously, beautiful. Even as a tinge of jealousy rises in my heart I am happy for you. Hope you will enjoy that knife for many years to come.

onespdfrk - Thanks for your kind words. Hope you are enjoying those knives. Our transactions have been my pleasure.

WA Martin - Very neat knife. Even more so that it is your grandpa’s. Hang on to that one.

meako - Nice picture and thanks for sharing a little about the family. You must be so proud of all of them. Thanks for sharing and your contributions to this forum.

sogflash - Love that Northwoods Barlow. So beautiful and look to be very capable knives.

chuko - That is a small knife you posted. Love it. At 3 1/8” it looks very pocket friendly and very classy.

Now, the random number generator selected #13 - r8shell. Congrats and I'll get it out to as soon as I have your info. Once again, thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes, pictures and playing along.

Congratulations r8shell! That's an awesome score - you're sure to enjoy!

Oh, Boy!
Thank you so much. I feel so lucky- to win such a beautiful knife, and to get the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful, generous people here.

Thanks for the kind words Jennifer, always a pleasure to read your posts. This has been a great giveaway, very reflective of the Traditional spirit! :)

Top stuff.good onya. Lets hope 2014 continues in this good way.

Jone, great giveaway, a very generous thing to do within a year, I'll be honest, I haven't noticed you around the forums, (I need to get my head back in the knife aspect of this forum and outta the bar room atmosphere of W&C, it's another kind of distraction, not for everyone ;))

Anyway congrats to the winner and congrats on your 1 year milestone, I'll be looking for you posts and looking back to see what you've posted. Sorry I missed your coming out party so a belated welcome to the forums, see ya around.

Jone great GAW, fantastic prize! Very generous, I hope it fortifies your karma.
R8shell - congrats on a great prize!

I had to check this morning to make sure I didn't dream it. (Monday mornings can be rough ;))

Thanks everyone, and of course especially jone.
