One year of Tweeners (Becker Shorts photo thread)

My BK 16's short life so far--- plan to use the heck out of it hiking and camping here soon.

What's a "cowboy sheath"? Its not those ones with snakeskin on it is it?

Nope.don't like snakes! saddle tan pouch style with some tooling and "Mexican braid" for the stitching.

Good stuff sanman! Is that a real deal hat? Ben wanting to snag one of those for a while.

Psy, really like that sheath man. Your leather skills just keep on getting better and better.

Cool etching sandman .

Yes, it is a Real Deal Brazil hat. Great hat. They come lighter than that, I waxed mine to waterproof it and it darkened in the process.

MR3T, I like that kydex set up...Care to explain a little more? I make kydex sheaths as a hobby and am always looking at new carry options for them.

Cam,

The kydex is from Azwelke. Backer is a Bianchi holster hip extender, and the pouch is an Eagle industries frag pouch.
Started out a few months ago with this idea in my head. I bought the kydex from Azwelke's store on the large parasitic online auction house. Picked up the hip extender and Eagle pouch from a couple local surplus joints. The hip extender originally housed my ESEE LS, but I picked up a black one for it on the above mentioned parasitic site. Switched the OD one over for the 16, using a soldering iron to burn in the holes after marking with a sharpie. I cut off the molle straps, drilled out and removed the male half of the snaps on the back of the pouch, then repeated the process for making the holes for the hardware. Replaced the Buckle with an OD one I had laying around. One the prep was done, I used the hardware to connect it all together, and there you have, Bob's your uncle. I will get some more detailed pics, up when I get a chance.

Still love the saber 16 for do-everythig abilities. I don't take many pictures when I'm out-an-about; just when I have a new mod or something to show.

Very nice tjswarbrick. The unmolested (FPR) saber grind 16 is my holy grail. I wish Kabar would offer these on a full production basis, or maybe even do a limited run. I would definately pick up a few.

Then I changed out my peanut butter handles to the black ones after I made some orange spacers.

I like those liners Noodle! Are they made out of DVD cases cos they don't quite look like G-10...Reminds me that I gotta finish off those liners for my 15 and 17 too.

Nice pictures everyone! I will have to take my 15 out and get some good ones before I do some mods. Maybe if I make it to the Becker West gathering I can get some there as well!

Thanks. I they're made for flexible cutting boards. They're about .030" thick. I made a set for my 2,4, and 9. The 4 and 9 felt better in the hand after adding them.
