Intended to post this yesterday (Wednesday) but was out of town so i'll get the giveaway started today.

Thanks to everyone who has participated in the Wooden Wednesday thread, never expected it would carry on as long as it has. I have really enjoyed the posts and seeing all the various wood handled knives.

This give away will be open to anyone who has made at least one post in the traditional subforum prior to today.
A simple "I'm in" will suffice but pictures of traditional knives with wooden handles is encouraged, or if you've got an interesting piece of wood stashed away for a future project pictures of that would be good too.

Your post number is your entry, winner will be chosen by random number generator on the one year mark of the Wooden Wednesday thread which will be on Wednesday November 20th.

Winner will receive this Queen Jack knife with bird's eye maple covers.

I feel the need to get in on this give away as that Queen is one I have been lusting after for quite a while. Here's a couple of my knives with wooden covers:

My latest, a light ebony Northfield Norfolk:

I'm in. Your Jack will look good next to my Queen fish knife with the same scales.

I am amused and somewhat touched by how much your Wooden Wednesday thread influences not only a certain weekday's carry, but often provides a prompt to evaluate my burgeoning selection (ahem). Even if I don't opt to pocket a wooden-covered knife on a given Wednesday (gasp), I'm inescapably aware of choosing according to or 'against' the day and its now built-in encouragement to participate and share-- even if I'm not online!

I like that.

Thank you.
