This has been a light kitchen use only knife. Well cared for and kept sharp. It is a really nicely sized knife for woodscraft and the like. It was never intended to be used other than in the kitchen so I did not get it with a sheath. As it is my wife prefers thin blade Japanese knives and this one never got much use unless I did the cooking (that's not a good story
). Rather than have it languish in a drawer I offer it here hoping it will find a good home.
It started to develop stains/blemishes on the blade from food prep so I upped the patina for a nice overall color. The blade is treated with mineral oil.
In this photo you can just barely see Jack's maker's mark at the upper right of the blade. It is still visible in spite of the patina when holding the knife in your hand - not so much in the photo.
The sheath is an aftermarket - horizontal carry style - that fits this knife well and holds it securely. The belt loop will fit up to a 2" belt.
THIS KNIFE FEATURES
Flat ground blade in O1 steel hardened to RC-59 3/16" thick at the full tang.
Coco Bolo handle with SS pins
Measures 9" overall length with a 4-3/16" blade x 1-3/16" tall diminishing to the point
