Ken is trying out new textures combined with patterns on what would otherwise be a plain vanilla Ti. handled folder. What are your impressions of the new "skin" patterns and textures?

Seems no one else is interested. I personally think that it kicks @ss! Do you have any more pics of different textures and so forth.

Cool!

Thanks Mitch!

So how'd you get so close with Onion? I remember that shop visit you did on your website, what happened to that?
I think you should put it back up.

Dan

Ah -- Sweet Onions. Really like the stipple on the Blur.

Look like it's all "bubbled" and smooth yet gives something to grip.

Post the rest of the "pic's".

Actually haven't got that close to these knives, well in that state anyway. I help maintain the Onionweb, Ken's unofficial website, from before he got his official website. Wanted to post pics and find out that people thought. It's really thinking outside the box with these pattern/textures, and Ken's wondering what people think of it.

BTW, my shop visit page is still up there!

Burt,

I'm trying not to post too many pics without significant discussion, because in the past nearly every thread I posted that even contained pics was moved to the gallery before any discussion could even start. :( I'll post more when more people post their thoughts on Onionskins. :)

Mitch, the pictures are pretty blurry to make any very closely-detailed opinions. Nonetheless...

Is it OK to offer a less supportive view? Neither of them are appealing to me. Ouch--I said it. But that's only me. It does look like something that took quite a bit of time (especially in the first version).

But, it never fails me to see how wrong I am... Next thing you know I'll be copying this work on my kits! :D

Coop,

All honest opinons are welcomed. Doesn't hurt my feelings any...Ken on the otherhand probably will spend the day in tears...LOL j/k It does take quite a bit of time to do the skin pattern. He sits there with some kind of engraving tool and carves each one "free hand".

If only Ken would take some photo lessons from you!

Personally I think Onionskins are AWESOME & SCHWEEEEET! Like the patterns and should have super grip too - hope he continues with them.

Bill
Mitch - would you tell Ken that his student Audra has done an awesome job on the 'ALOHA COWGIRLS' - he is quite the TEACHER!

Thanks ! I think Audra is awesome too,Mike aint so bad either. They were good students.

How on earth can one find an Onion for sale :) I found the Ken Onion Forum and I check it regularly, but is there really much of a chance that I'll catch one for sale ?? Ken's knives are amoung the most beautiful I have ever seen and I'd like to get one some day.
