Gentlemen,
I thought we were going to look at knives.

Yes the "Prop" for the neck knife is in the album. And you guys are right, Shan is a good looking prop!
As far as film for my knife shots, I use the Kodak Portra 160 Vidid Color series. The sharpness is great and you can get it in 35mm as well as the larger formats. Thanks for the compliments.
I almost forgot, if anyone needs info on any of the makers for the knives in the albums just e-mail me.

Most of these are in my collection (The Morans and Loveless Knives belong to a friend. The pics of Michael's Sword and some of Van's knives were sent to me.
Odds and Ends

These are picks from the Blade Show including a few friends. The best of show knife and best collaboration are in here the rest were knives I was able to add to my collection. (Oops I forgot, there is a picture of some very nice stuff Blues picked up and the Fitch knife that I am holding for Kelly as well as 4 of the 8 new Master Smiths. (Audra and Ed are in there.))
There is also a nice picture of Don Fogg with Margret and Bill Moran.)

Ahh, great! You ended up getting Prairie Storm, Bo. Good for you. I found out that it was simply too large for me. The Caffrey Desert Eve Mastersmith fighter that I got in exchange is much more to my liking size-wise, and is also a magnificent piece.

Big is an understatement, but it shows off the steel so well. I think Wind Song and Prarie Storm accent each other very well.

The bad part is I think it started a trend. Now I want more of the big bowies. I think a John Fitch will be next on my list.

HDCharlie,
Those sure are some nice bowies you have.

Senator,
That looks like a nice one, But mine have to sit next to some other large ones so I need one to match.
I have a smaller project coming from Ed and Gene Osborn, that will be my prize of the smaller size, just wait till you see.

I need to work on my pictures, yours look so nice.

You guys have some very nice knives and amazing picture quality.

My knives pictured on photopoint are my pre-grinder days... I just recently purchased a Bader III and am currently trying to figure out what to do with it. So far I have made a few fixed blades that came out well - but not exactly what I intended. It was MUCH easier to keep the bevel grinds right where you intended with file and abrasive paper than a 2x72 belt grinder! I did 4 more this past weeked and am becoming much more comfortable grinding bevels. Need more time/practice....

For now I will still do all finish work with abrasive paper - do not like my finishing results on the grinder.

I hope to get the post-grinder knife pics up soon.

David
