Ok, I don't want anyone to faint or fall out of their chair but let me start by saying I have never played an Online Game before. Not one of the multi player type games anyway, I've played games on my computer but.. anyway.

What I want to know is if there is a game that my Wife and I can play online using two seperate computers (us playing against each other).

Nothing too complicated or wacking role playing stuff, just something fun and competitive.

I never cared much for the fast and furious games. I used to like Scorched Earth until I couldn't play it anymore on my faster computer. Anyway, some folks in the UK came up with Scorched 3D. You can play it online or download it and set it up to play against your computer.

If you want a simple, free browser flash game that you guys can play against each other on the same computer, or online from different computers, Territory War Online gets my vote: http://www.xgenstudios.com/game.php?keyword=two

Otherwise, Counter-Strike is a very simple and fun shooter that still has a very active online community and can't be too expensive these days due to its age.
