Online Knife making books on Google

Google has an outstanding service called Google Books. They scan entire books, but leave out a few pages here and there. I have attached a few links to knife and sword making books for people to look at for a reference. I will add more as I run across them on Google. This is a free service and does not violate any copyright issues. The books are in full color. Many of the books open around the midpoint, so you might need to scroll up to see the cover.

When you search Google Books, it searches within the text of all the books in their database. So, for example, when you search for "wire damascus," Wayne Goddard's books will pop up.

You are only allowed to view each book a couple of times, then it will lock you out of that book. Although, some books appear to have unlimited viewing. Perhaps clearing cookies will fix the issue. This service is meant to be a preview to entice you to make a purchase.

I encourage each of you to purchase a hard copy of the books you enjoy and would like to have in your shop as a reference.

This is an excellent candidate for a sticky!:thumbup:

The same source has historical books that are fully downloadable and legal. I really appreciated browsing through a few of the old hunting and firearms classics.

Take care, Craig

There are a lot of beginner questions lately, so I thought I'd bump it up to the top.

Good luck.
