Online Knife Purchase - Most Disappointing Purchase

I've had a few dissappointments. Bought a min-UDT, didn't realize how small it was. Same goes for a small Guardian by Gigand. A Gerber Guardian wasn't the precise model I thought I was buying. And I once bought an Argentinian made knife on eBay, not bad, but not what I wanted. This is why I like dealing with reputable dealers like newgraham, knifeworks, knivesplus, knifeoutlet, grandpraire, etc. They try to take care of you if a knife just isn't for you.

Sog Twitch XL. Lots of blade play and just felt like it was going to break. Very sharp though and not a bad knife, just not what I expected.

Culpeper you an english teacher or something? keepem sharp

Every forum, every one I have been on anyways, has their person or persons who chide everyone about spelling.:jerkit: Here in Oklahoma where I now reside, after 26 years in the People Republic of Cal-E-Fornia, it is pointless to even try. Most are Hicks / Hayseeds with a language and spelling all their own. If you bug them about it you are called a Poke, one who is not from around here.
So I would say there are a lot of Pokes on internet forums.:D

The ePrey description of the old Camillus utility model said: "Excellent knife. Everything works great."

It was rusted shut. :o

He wouldn't take it back.

Other steps were necesssary. :grumpy:

A BW Custom "Celtic Fighting Knife" from SMKW....arrived with the blade covered with some kind of foul crud all over it, the inlays were very poorly done, and the guard cut into your hand when you held it due to very sharp corners on it...(great design there...lol). It looked cool at first glance until you handled it. Then on the box was the almost hidden 'PAKISTAN" in red lettering. Needless to say, it was displayed proudly at my side when I went to the annual big "swappers day" meet. I wasn't there 15 minutes when a guy was wanting to trade me a beagle puppy for it...which I did in a heartbeat. Now my kids have a nice pet, and I have learned my lesson about buying knives of unknown origin without seeing them first.

Ask your buddies how to spell disappointed.:foot::eek::)

Really.

Thanks! Yeah, its my first time like this. I mean I have some Randall's I love but this was a different experience all together.

Ask your buddies how to spell it's when used as a contraction.
Ask your buddies how to spell altogether as an adverb. Your spelling refers to something "in a group", in which case your syntax is incorrect.

Like walking into a Blacksmith's shop in San Antonio when Texas was a republic and walking out with a big freakin' knife.

Ask your buddies when to capitalize words.

Well, the experiment continues. I exchanged the Marble's Damascus for a Bear Damascus and the difference is striking. I'm satisfied that you can get descent Damascus steel at a budget price.]

Ask your buddies how to spell decent.

Am I the only one that discovered that some of us were/are throwing rocks in a glass house

You said it, perhaps you should live it.

The point is, you knew what he meant.

oh good, a grammar queen.

Not usually sketch, and I apologize for taking this thread away from its topic. But when I saw the post just created to criticize spelling, and have seen it before from this member, I just wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine, especially when I saw the "glass house" quote. That's why I put that one at the end, hopefully so people would see that I was not correcting only for the sake of correcting, but to point out that he was capable of it as well.
I was actually getting good information from this thread until I read that, and couldn't resist tossing back at him.
