Online retailers for Spydies..?

To avoid getting a deal-spotting infraction, you've got a visitor message telling you my choice dealers.

I dont think its deal spotting if your just recommending dealers provided they are a paying member of bladeforums, but i could be wrong. Also left OP a visitor message.

Gentlemen, thanks for paying attention! :)

It is not deal spotting if you recommend a paid Bladeforums Dealer.
It is not deal spotting if the question is in FEEDBACK, so that's where I moved it.

vaporooski, welcome to BF! You'll learn the fine points. Check out the links in my signature block -- Da Roolz.

Will do as soon as I get behind a computer. Still on the go with my iPhone at the moment.

Thanks

I just bought two Spyderco knives from www.nationalknives.com/ which is a dealer here on the forum.

It looks like he takes down knife listings when they go out of stock. I wish more dealers would do that.

Not sure I can view visitor messages from my phone using tapatalk. But thank you as well

Alex,

1. I wonder how well Tapatalk works overall for accessing Blade Forums. Would you please compare your experience with this app to just using the Safari browser to participate in BF; what are the pros and cons, based on your experience?

It's not my intention to change the subject so if there's a better way to get this info, anyone, please explain.

2. Alex, my recommendation is:
KNIFEWORKS

I recently bought a pre-order, special limited edition Benchmade from them. They also appear to have an extensive selection of Spyderco knives. I placed the order with a small deposit last August and received the knife in December. The delay was apparently manufacturer/supply side related. Knifeworks did right by me every step of the way, as far as I know.

Stock- They were the only ones who had it and their web site is set up so that I was able to order it with ease plus request a certain number with a second and third choice (didn't get it but they had indicated up front that that might happen).

Price- Cheaper than MSRP and way under the asking prices on eBay.

Shipping- Excellent, it arrived in pristine condition without problems of any sort.

You didn't ask about customer service but it was great. I called several times for progress reports since it was hard to wait quietly for so many months but every time I called I got a courteous and informative update.
Hope this helps, and thanks for any info you can give me about using Tapatalk for Blade Forums.
Good Luck,
Reston

My last 4 Spydies came from National Knives.
Roberts' service is outstanding!!!
And his prices are the best I've found.

Tapatalk makes navigating around the site easier and quicker. No need to zoom. It's a really fast interface. But some options aren't there. Can't view visitor messages or edit profile info. That's all I can complain about for now. I only use tapatalk though, and haven't felt the need to use safari. Hope this info was helpful.

National Knives
New Graham Knives
Gpknives

All of these websited I have had excellent dealings with.

Likewise, I have dealt with National Knives, and they are prompt and courteous. I'll probably order all my knives from them from now on. Also, he changed the quantity of knives available immediately after he got my order. They're good guys.
