Only 1 EDC for the rest of your life?

If I was limited to only one pocket knife for regular ol' EDC utility, it would be something like this:

I'd rather die than have to choose just 1 knife!! But seriously If it was the only knife i'd ever be able to use for rest of my life I'd have to choose my Victorinox Trekker since its so freakin usefull.. I would deffinitely miss fondling my para2, and Manixs though :(
I just dont think its worth it to sacrifice so much utility to carry a high-end single blade knife.

its so hard because i still have so many knives to try out like a hinderer xm-18 3.5, striders, some CRK'S but the knife i own that i think can do all of my tasks is a spyderco military. i love every thing about it. i cant even explain over computer text how good of a knife it actually is.

I'd probably go with a Spyderco Paramilitary 2. I have an S30V one in digicam now, but if I had to only have one, I'd find one of those blue M390 versions that were out last year. My other choice might be a Benchmade 915 Triage.

Esee 4.

I only carry other knives so that I don't scare people when I need a knife around people.

Just an edc, right? I can still have other ones as the OP said for other tasks? Well I guess a sak or multi purpose knife would make more sense, but since I'm imagining I'd have to give up the other ones, then the only edc I won't give up is my JK Toby's Knife,

i have no idea yet.

somthing like:
folder
2-3" blade
simple drop point blade design
~3oz
~4" closed
somthing about a simple square handle i really like.
under $100, so i would not mind losing it.

so whats my "Only 1 EDC for the rest of your life?" i dont know yet but its fun looking.

Svord Peasant folder. Good steel. Cheap to replace. Simple design. I'd have it with the plastic handle in a bright colour. Makes it easy to find and stops me looking like a 14 year old American for whom everything has to be "tactical".

Had my Emerson CQC7 as my EDC for 10 years now. Hope to have it as my EDC "for the rest of my life".

Two months now with my BM 556 as my only EDC knife. Upgrading to a Ritter when cashflow allows, and intending to customize. Gave the question a lot of thought myself, and decided to try it with my 556. Working well so far.

May get paired with something fixed blade down the road.

XM-18 3.5 not overly large but can take most everything you give it. If I spent more time in town or a office XM-3" or small Sebenza.

Most excellent choice sir.

If it had to be a folder from my collection:

I live in the UK where a slippie is the only kind you can carry without undue restriction so it would have to be my G10 UKPK.

Of my lockers then it would be my BM HK 14205. Rock solid practicality and in inmho a much underrated tool. If a fixed blade then it would be my Stuart Wilson bushcrafter..

So there you go (^_^)

I would have to say my custom, fully serrated tanto point, CRKT M16 in S90V.

I think the knife I've had most my life, before getting into knives, would serve just fine:
