This is a Go Knife not a Show Knife..
One of the ways I am holding down cost is by leaving the natural mill surface finish on the flats of the knife..
So you basically have a cool heat colored looking flat with a nice industrial satin finish bevel..
Its a really cool two tone look, some of the blades have markings in the flats..
The blade is Chisel Ground very thin for extreme cutting performance in things like meat, fish, rope, soft wood, etc...
This is a High Performance Edge Geometry.
Once again the Economist focuses on High Performance and Extreme Value..
The only difference between the $149.00 Economist and one of my $1,000.00 full blown customs are the number of hours I spend hand sanding and polishing.. The grinding, heat treat, high performance steel and sharpening procedures are all the same..

I would'nt even bother bugging mike about when they will ship. I was prepared for a long wait, its the price you pay for the price you pay. I'm excited this is going to be my first custom, my first chisel grind and, my first fixed blade.
 
Hopefully just scored one of the last ones for my first snody, mike check email I had a PayPal snafu with wrong mailing address and sent you correct info ( also corrected in PayPal).

Think I'm gonna keep this one in the kitchen for a week or two to see it slice through some meat, veggies, etc. before it goes in the pocket.
 
Guess I figured there were so many pictured that they were ready to go. There are 8 in the picture and he is selling 8. That would lead me to believe they are pre made and ready to ship. Guess I could be wrong.
 
I am counting 8 of us in this thread who have said they are in, assuming this is the only place they were offered. Should be a done deal. Neal I was thinking the same thing. There's 7 of em in that one pic.
