Only 5 things

What I would take,
1, Axe (something similar to GB Forest Axe)
2, large contractor trash bag
3 Paracord
4 My titatum MSR pot/cup
5 Firesteel

Season doesnt really matter

Part of my "normal" dress Includes a SAK and a folder.

1)Good fixed blade knife

2)small stainless steel pot

3)550 para cord

4)"heatsheet" or similar high quality space blanket

5)my fire kit(matches, lighter, magnesium fire starter, vaseline soaked cotton balls)

The year is 117 AD, the Roman Empire is at it's height...

You get to go back with anything you can carry, but you're stuck there (don't worry about changing history, timeline diverges).

.... wait, that's another topic

hmm, I guess...
1. Kukuri
2. T-10 Reserve Parachute (Shelter and all the 550 cord you want in a nice compact package)
3. Canteen w/ cover and cup
4. Personal Survival Kit
5. It's a tossup between a .22 pistol (w/ ammo of course) or Angelina Jolie

(What, I'm the only one that goes hiking with a parachute?!)

Ha ha, fat friend. I would bring my fat enemy I think, preferably a non smoker.

Smokers have that nice camp fire flavor though :barf: :D

Sleeping bag
Tarp
Pot
LArge blade
Magnesium flint block

Everything else can be made or dealt with.

Skam

If I was forced to bring only one edged tool, I think a large fixed chopper would be the best bet.
Not trying to turn this into a chopper vs. axe thread, but really there is a lot an axe cannot do.
Maybe the HI guys can tell us, how well do kukris do for other general camp tasks? (food preparing and such)

RV with generator...
Diesel fuel
Supply of steaks
Couple knives...
Tools/spare parts

:D

Weather variable sleeping device
Locking knife
Fire starter
Water/purification method
Boots

You forgot the beer in the first list, come on man prioritize!:D

A good stout fixed blade with a blade length of 4-5 in
a tarp
a pot ( for cooking)
Paracord
my matchcase
If I could choose a 6th item I'd pick my 20 gauge or a fishing pole and...I suppose a survival kit or BOB would be cheating right

Assuming I already have on my Filson cover cloth jacket & hat, normal streat clothes, boots, and what's typically in my pockets (cash, a good & sharp slip-joint knife, a bandana + sturdy safety pin, keyring (w/ LM Micra & photon II), and 3 bandaids (hopefully these won't run out too quickly ;) ):

1. Fire-making kit (Firesteel + tinder / small waterproof box)
2. MSR Stowaway Pot (Small)
3. Naglene poly water bottle
4. Cordage (500' or so of paracord)
5. Space blanket (aka "heatsheet" brand or similar) *though, if summer I may want to swap this out for a small fishing kit)

If 10 items, add:

6. wool blanket
7. 10 lbs. of mixed corse black pepper & iodized salt
8. MSR mini-works ceramic water filter
9. 12' x 12' or so waterproof tarp
10. GB small forest axe
