Only one Busse?

I'm looking at buying my first knife from the Busse family and quite possibly my only one (who am I kidding right?) So my question is this: If you could have only one Busse/Rat/Scrapyard knife what would it be?

Right now I have my eye on a dogfather thats for sale. I figure if I only have one it should be a BIG one :)

Your thoughts?
 
Well if your talking big I'd say either the CG FBM or FFBM!

But what type of tasks are you looking for this one blade to perform?

And what is your price range. :)
 
Depends on what you plan on doing with it.

I myself favor Active Duties for small all-around work.
 
A nice NO-e - with perhaps a clip point to make her all fancy! :):thumbup:

The CG ASH1 has quickly become one of my favorites. And you can get them through the Busse website right now so no secondary mark ups yet. :D

I second this...get one before you can't get them anymore. The ASH Le will come up on the BCS as well as lots of variations. If you can only get one, get the FBM LE.
 
ONE?? :eek: You want a girl who just got a CG FBM to pick only ONE??? :eek::eek::eek: Well, guess it depends upon what you're gonna use it for. Zombies...the AK...everything else...WOW. The HR? My BM-E? The agony!! I just can't have only one...:D
 
JUST one? I would say the ASH as its an good all rounder. AND if you go with Busse you get INFI and though the dogfather is a sweeeeeeet blade as are the rats. If your going to get just one GO FOR INFI!
 
You don't give much in the way of criteria...

Looking back over what I've got, I'm thinking maybe the BAIII. It's beefy enough to beat on and small enough to tote around. Also wide enough to provide reasonable slicing geometry from 3/16" stock.

Didn't really realize it at the time of purchase, but it's kind of a special knife.
 
Right now, the ASH. Before the ASH came along, the FFBM. Before the FFBM came along, the HOGFSH. Before the HOGFSH .................................. and so on!

Ask me when the next model comes out! :D

Please dont tell me the FFBM was the last thing available. How many years will I have to wait for it to come back around?
 
Straight Handle ***********......get one and you won't look back, except maybe to get a HOGFSH!

You make an excellent point. Not quite as large as I had in mind but I can always pick up a DF later. Might as well get the ASH while I can.

No one ever knows for sure! That's one reason anticipation for new stock is so high and why everyone gets trampled trying to be the first to get to the trough when new stuff goes online for order.

Keep your eyes open and watch the forums for clues! :D
