Only rarely am I lost for words...

So, here are some pictures...Jon was gracious enough to give me a lot of design freedom. I hope I didn't jump the shark...

Here are the parts before....

After I assembled the knife, I didn't like the blonde of the bone. I decided to put a little color into it. I just hope that it wasn't too drastic of a change for Jon.

I really do like how it turned out, though.

Really nice before and after shots Glenn. Hard to imagine it's the same knife! Hats off to you Sir!

It doesn't get much better!

Here's a couple of better shots this morning. The bone looks fantastic -its likely over 60 years old.
It heartwarming to see 2 relatively useless ,knackered things be created into a functional, beautiful link to the past and more specifically my familys past.
Thanks for the before pics Glenn-I couldn't find any of the ones I originally sent you.:D

Oh yeah - thatßs a wonderful knife, indeed! Love the scales and how it turned out. :)

Gongratz to such great skills, Glen. Meako - you lucky man such a wonderful knife!!

Wow - Glenn.......... does it again, and it has to be pretty spectacular for an Aussie to be lost for words- let me tell you that!!!
Now two things known to dumbstrike an Aussie, Glenns superb work and a darned good looking Sheep.

Spectacular is the word Duncan. Not only that it's unique and incredibaaaahl(ooh what a giveaway)-cheers.
Question for ya-how long should it take for a package to reach Fes from me ? Does 2 weeks sound excessive? I havent heard from him in a while so thinking he maybe up in the hills.

Wont be too much longer, maybe Customs have intercepted the package and held it then sent it on... happens a lot.
Two weeks isnt too long, another week then see :-)

Beautiful knife mate, Glenn did a superb job - as he does! congratulations to both parties.

That's very fine work.

How does one put rings into the bolsters?

If you are referring to the threading, it's usually done with a file, to my understanding... I may be wrong, and if I am, someone please tell me how it's done!! I would love/need to learn!! I've only done it a couple of times and have gotten lucky with my small files... Lol!

Glenn makes me jealous with his skills sometimes... I must admit!

Don't sell yourself short, Evan. You do some fine work, sir!

Wow. That certainly came out stunning!

meako, you now have stag of the gods! I really like the idea of taking an old worn but liked knife, using a piece of scrap stag plus the associations and turning it into a real beaut.

Glenn does very fine work and is a total gent, not meaning to digress from your thread, but an old Hoffitz Pen of mine was re-worked by Glenn and I'm so pleased with the result. Thanks, Will

Will -its bone not stag-I had some stag to send but decided not to due to import export possible hassle. Then I found myself down in the shed with the knife in one hand and grandads old stub of a steel in the other and that was kicked it off.The Hoffritz is fantastic.
