Only Room for One Knife Brand in My Store - What Should it Be?

Helpful posts, one and all.

I spoke to Queen this afternoon & they seem to want the business and are moving their butts (uncommon these days, surprisingly, among people trying to sell you something). I'll probably start with them, choosing maybe stockman, whittlers, trappers & doctor's from among the coco, cherry jigged, and bone varieties. Throw in a couple Country Cousins in amber and black and call it a day, badda-bing, badda-boom (we're close to Jersey here).

We're gonna start with Queen because they're exceptionally high quality, nostalgic (like our store), and made right in our home state. I guess we'd be fools not to. They are more expensive than I'd like, but everything good is, and we are located, in fact, in Bucks County.

I appreciate all the responses, I read each one twice, some of you really suck at spelling, and took in all the different perspectives. It's a case where an internet forum really does work & educate & further the cause.

Thanks again.

WileE -

The Queen Canoe is also very popular. If I were looking for a list of most popular patterns, I would include:

Canoe
Stockman
Whittler
Scout
Folding Hunter

The wood handled models are least expensive. To get an idea of what's out there, look at:

Fantastic - very interested in how things progress, please keep us updated.

And best of luck with your business.

WileE-

Great! I hope it reall works out for you!

I have stayed in Bucks County 4 or 5 times. Twice at the Golden Plough? in Peddlers Village. Damn, we dropped some coin in those shops, and at some of the resturaunts there and in Doylestown.

I envy your great location! Please keep us posted how it all works out.

Regards,

Jeremy

No question. Victorinox. Others have recommended what they like. I have recommended what produces inventory turnover.

If it doesn't sell, which I would be surprised that it doesn't from what I've recently read about Queen, you can always plunk down 25 bucks for a gold membership!

Hey, Outlet dude!

I've got a Helle Odel coming tomorrow from y'all!

You can always sell good stuff, I'm sure the Queen knives will move right along. Whilst Victorinox are like a Toyota, cheap and trouble free, they really lack style and soul.

If its a Trad theme store Victorinox has no place being in there IMHO.
