Only Score at Knob Creek

Thanks for the complements, guys.
Sorry about the small pics.
A friend of mine took them indoor with her digital and, after cropping them down, there wasn't much left.
Didn't realize they would be so small until it was too late.
I'm used to taking pics with my 35mm and scanning them but my scanner is on the blink. :(
The knife is pretty impressive for only my second. :)
It feels extremely heavy in the hand; seems twice as heavy as my FFBM.
It was great to meet all you guys at the Golden Manor.
Really enjoyed talking with you, Rony.
Thanks, again, for letting me look at that big monster Custom Busse.
Probably won't be at Blade but hope to see you again at Knob Creek in the future.
...and everyone else !

That brass looks really good, can't be easy to fit that brass liner and mammoth tooth scales. I bet someone took a long time to get those right. But Sagittarius, now you've got to get a lanyard that fits the design better...is that the one it came with?

How is the balance now with that insert? More agile? Compared to your other Busse how different does it feel swinging it?

Oh yeah Friggin' Sweet score!!!

Edit: One heck of a saving account:D:thumbup:

It's not nearly as well balanced as my standard FFBM.
I would be afraid to swing it; might not be able to stop its momentum. ;)
The thing is monster heavy but it's really cool.
In this case, cool is all that matters. :)

Where do you go from here?

You just scored a knife that sits squarely and prominently in Busse lore.

It could be as important as the fabled Chuckette.

How do you get excited about buying an AD now?

If it gets to be half as famous as the Chuckett, that would be great. :)
I think Ronybear's two massive Monsters will be pretty famous in their own right in the future.

Could not find a lanyard that matched all that well, of those available, so went with the yellow and black.
Figured the "yellow" matched the brass somewhat. :)

2nd Busse???

Good grief man....what's next? Have you ever heard of setting the bar too high?

Congrats!

I have a couple of customs in mind that would, imo, definitely "raise the bar".
Only trouble with that is the 3 year or better wait time.

that was a good score, my guess is you will go mad trying to keep from scratching those bolsters (even stainless steel bolsters seem to scratch). That needs to become your dedicated new kitchen knife. With those nasty serrations on the top clip it will only be like 10 seconds of use with a quick trip to the er to stitch the old hand back up.

Agree about the brass being easily scratched and the major reason I'm not a fan of it.
Kind of easily tarnished without the right coating also.
Even brand new brass shows superficial scratches under a bright light.
Other metals do too but not as bad as brass.
Made my girlfriend take her rings off before she handled it. :)
A titanium gold nitride like my Desert Eagle has would be the ultimate finish.

Wow! What a knife:eek:
Could it be the most expensive Busse to date. If not it looks good enough to be.

Congrats on the awesome Blade:thumbup:

Not quite the most expensive, like a few others I've read and heard about. ;)
Don't know if that would be a good or bad thing, having the most expensive Busse. :)
