Always wanted a Bagwell... and the Ontario Masters Series version is a very good commercial version of same. Spoke with Jim Keating shortly after ordering this and he told me, "That was a wise investment, it will hold its value, very good quality knife." Most Bowies are designed to chop with... the Plainsman is lightweight and nimble, meant to be used like a saber for thrusts... and it doesn't have the oversized bladecatcher guard like the Hells Belle.

Comes AS NEW with perhaps a few very minor handling marks. Sheath has a brass stud designed to catch on one's belt for IWB carry... and the blade is narrow enough to easily fit into the sheath upsidedown, making it ambidextrous.

Blade is 8.25" long, OAL of 13.5" some type of propriatory steel selected by Bill Bagwell, who also worked on the development and initial QC of the Ontario knives made under his name. VERY SHARP. False edge is unsharpened but could be made sharp.

This was listed at $300 and is easily worth double that. After shipping and tax I paid about $350. These are VERY RARE to find for sale! I believe Ontario only made them for a few years back in the mid 1980s. Not as good as one of Bill's customs, but a decent approximation with all the correct dimensions. This is better than the Cold Steel Bowies I've handled anyway.

I really don't want to part with this one... but I'd take $375 shipped for it.

I can accept Zelle, Cash App, or PayPal F&F.

Gonna post a lint to the original sale post here which has pics.
