I am not sure I am edc'ing a rat3 and Ihavent had any problems with edge retention or bending or tip breaking. But they have had problems with heat treatsa before so who knows
 
I read some reports of supposedly bad treatments in the past, but not so recently. I've abused the tip of my Rat-7 in an effort to expose any such issues and it just keeps sticking into things like it did on day 1.
 
Nothing but praise for these knives - Randall and Perrin opined on them here awhile back and there's an Ontario forum at Knifeforums you could check out.
