I have a first production run ontario xm-1 (64/300), and the liner lock is starting to wear away to the point that there is considerable up and down blade play. I have stopped using it since then, but I was wondering if ontario's warranty would cover this problem. I've tried contacting them several times in the past three months or so and every time I get the damn answering machine. Does anyone know if and how I can get this fixed/covered by ontario?

Have you tried e mailing them? Several years ago, I had a question about some stainless steel instruments I had at work. I emailed their CS and got reply in a day or two.

We needed to find out what type of SS some lab spatulas were made from. After some digging, I learned that they were made by Ontario. So I e mailed them to find out what grade of SS they used.
