Ontario RAT 1 or Essee Avispa

I say the Rat 1 because I like bigger blades. If Esee ever offers an Avispa with a 3.25" or longer blade, I'd be all over it.

Agreed, when in doubt whip the fixed blade out lol The liner locks I've had slip were due to poor lock geometry on cheaper knives. I don't use folders for "hard use" mainly because even though some of the current locks shouldn't fail such as axis and tri ad locks they still get damaged and end up with blade play... I despise blade play.
Yep, I have an AK47 with a little play and the other day I found myself prying on some thin pieces of wood. More of a lateral force I suppose but I've subjected that particular triad lock to some downright nasty events. :o

I think you are thinking of the Zancudo. The Zancudo is ~ 3" blade while the Avispa is ~ 3.5". The Avispa is comparable to the Rat 1 and the Zancudo to the Rat 2.

I also have an ak47 , I noticed a little wiggle side to side but I don't know if its because I'm trying too hard to detect it lol I grab the tip of the blade and firmly grasp and feel for even the slightest movement. I think most folders have some sort of slight movement. Anyway I love my ak47 once the lock broke in and became easier to disengage I liked it even more.

Huh, when I looked up the Avispa on Amazon it said 3" in the description. I only checked one listing, I must have gotten the one with the typo lol. Thanks for settin' md straight!
