I just received a Ontario Rat-1 with the Knifeworks exclusive orange handles and I thought I would give my initial thoughts:

Good:
1. This knife is big! LOL, well bigger than I thought it would be
2. Lockup is ROCK SOLID!
3. Blade centering is perfect!
4. The knife is heavier than I was anticipating and the blade is thick
5. The orange is fantastic and the satin blade is nicely finished
6. Pocket clip is adjustable to all four corners
7. Great flow through torx assembly construction

Bad:
1. The edge sucks.. wont cut paper clean at all. Gonna need some love
2. The RAT logo on the blade is poorly printed and hard to read.

Overall a FANTASTIC value!!! At 29.99 it is really an unbelievable bargain
The only thing lacking is the edge which I can clean up in a few minutes.

I purchased this knife for a belt pouch survival kit and it is perfect. I actually am going to pick up a few more for myself and for gifts because it is such a good value.

I've always thought the Rat 1 is the best knife $25 can buy.....Case Sodbuster being a close second.

I've never seen an Orange one before....why not post a picture, else we'll think you're making all this up.
Don't be too hard on the edge...a knife like that wasn't meant to cut paper...it was meant to cut rope, fish, bra straps, etc.
I'm sure it will serve you well....
