Hello everyone, just joined the forum a few months ago and this is my first post.I've been into tactical knives ever since I was in the Army for four years.Anyway I just purchased The Ontario RTAK Knife.I've read on here before that the sheath wasn't to great in fact I could tell it wasn't very durable when I received it,in fact the accessory pouch already came off.I haven't even used it yet, just got it last week.Does anyone know of any websites that make a good cordura, kydex, military or leather sheaths? Especially for a ten inch blade? Anyone let me know. This is a great forum!

sorry i can't help you personally but i'm sure a few on here can.You could try searching the forums and you will find something. How did the pouch come off was it the stitching coming loose?Anyway just wanted to say hello and welcome.

The accessory pouch was riveted to the sheath and the pouch just tore thru. There's a lot of good sheaths out there that companies make but I can't find any that will fit a ten inch blade.I was just opening the pouch and it came off a couple of the rivets.

Check out the RAT company page at www.ontariorat.com. Jeff and Mike are very good with their customer service from what I've seen. They can probably do something for your or at least point you in the direction of one of the newer better sheaths (it sounds like yours was the older style sheath).

sure...just look around for a kydex or leather maker. There are several but I dont have there email at hand. Go ask at the shoptalk area.

I haven't had any problems with my RTAK sheath, but I don't really like it. It would be nice if Spec Ops made a sheath big enough for it. It's a wonderful knife that I've put through hell over the years, but the sheath is just goofy looking... looks like a paddle.
