Wont trade with ooitzoo again, he specified he had a a bnib benchmade grip and a LNIB spyderco paramilitary 1 for trade, the benchmade had a chipped blade, and the spyderco had been resharpened by what it appeared to be by a 5 year old...no mention of either of these things on his post.
 
i am surprised to hear this, i traded with him before and it went smooth as butter.

have you contacted him and told him whats wrong?
 
per blade forums rules you can reverse the trade. unless you asked for that and he refused, then you can bring the gripe here. I also see you already have the knife that was "reshapened by a 5 year old" back up for trade in another post, but i dont see anything about a 5 year old in your description, so are you trying to pass your bad luck onto others?
 
Wow, I guess its true when they say "common sense is not common". This guy emailed me at 12:57 to claim that he felt there was a problem. He then started this thread 1:06. I am not sure how I could have fixed this problem in the 9 minute interlude. This is especially true as I happened to be out with the family doing some weekend shopping.

For the record, I always ask something like "is everything as you expected?/are you happy with the knives?" at the end of every trade. Per forum rules, I don't consider a trade completed unless the other party agrees that they are happy with the trade. I emphatically asked Armyofdrones this question at the end of our trade. On friday (7/29), he responded that everything was good/as he expected. I left the guy feedback. THEN, this afternoon, I see this mickey mouse BS.

I don't know what happened between Friday and today but, as someone else noted, he seems to have no problem re-listing the knife for trade. I checked the Grip thoroughly before sending it out. The knife was mint.

I am not sure what I can do here. After getting the all-clear from OP, I gave one of the knives he traded away as a gift. I still have the other (and listed it up for trade as its a bit small for me.) While I am generally inclined to work problems like these out, OP has decided to skip forum procedure (e.g. wait for me to respond or try to work it) and went straight to trying to defame me publicly, I am now unwilling to have much to do with this guy going forward.

I've done well over a 100 trades on these forums and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Hiccups have been very rare and the folks I deal with come out very happy at the end of each trade. I guess after some number of trades things like these will happen. Either way, I am not sure how I can be any more accommodating then I have been.

TL; DR
The facts are here:
* We completed a trade
* He gave me the all clear (e.g. they were as described) on the knives I sent him (on 7/29)
* He emailed me at 12:57 today
* He started this inflammatory and false thread at 1:06pm
* Nine minutes is not enough time to figure out what went wrong and how to properly remedy it.

I've dealt with Ooitzoo.

Never had an issue and he is a good guy.

If you would have given him time to make it right, he would of, done deal.

Thank you for bringing this thread to my attention. You are correct that forum rules state that we can reverse any trade. However, in this case, OP gave me the all clear and said the knives were as described. I have the email to prove this.
 
I've traded with ooitzoo before, and things couldn't have gone more smoothly.

Wow. That's ridiculous, especially given that he had previously told you that everything that was good to go. Sounds like a classic case of buyer's trader's remorse.

I can safely say that there's one party involved in this trade that I won't ever be dealing with in the future, but it's not ooitzoo.

No prob, you deserve the right to respond and defend yourself and too many of these threads disappear off page 1 before the accused ever sees it. I figured by army's join date and post count that maybe he didnt know that the rules state he could ask to reverse the trade, especially since the original legit posts we usually see state that the accused said no or is unreachable etc.

"blade has been resharpened, but is still sharp" thats bs bro. if you had to start a thread in gb&u stating your disappointment in the edge of that para-millie, you should probably state the same thing in your trade thread.

i agree with clichtenwalner, it looks like your trying to pass your bad luck on to others.

I just want to clarify something. I don't think this is a case of "bad luck". The knife was as described when it arrived to this guy (he agreed this to be the case) on Friday. I don't know what happened between then and now but its a bit ridiculous to claim that its been "sharpened by a 5-year old" here and then just say "all is ok" in the trade forum.
 
the "bad luck" was just a ambiguous statement i was making to not call the OP a liar before the truth was exposed. I dont think it is bad luck either
 
ArmyofDrones.... if there was a problem with the knives when you recieved it then you should have immediatley contacted the trader and told him so.
Instead you give him the thumbsup. Once youve given the ok the trade is pretty much done and over. Now it looks like you took the knives for a test drive
and want to give them back.
 
If all the OP is going to do is hit and run on this with no further discussion I would post that email where he gave you the OK. Also, if you still have pictures online of these two knives from your trade thread showing they were in your stated condition you could link to those as well. I imagine those two things would pretty much put this to bed.
