Got a call from my wife at work today...(She was home with our daughter today)...
To start off I can tell yiou she is not at all into knives, LOL(but I love her anyway so...)
She did`nt even say hello, just started the conversation with: WHAT have you ordered now!?

Seems the BK9, Bk 11 and the Remora I ordered last week was delivered at my door, NOT the post-office like they use to do:eek:

I had to admit there were new knives inbound, LOL:cool:

Then the wo0rst part comes allong, SHE HAD TO PAY THE CUSTOMS TAX FOR MY KNIVES:eek:

I will now have to try and find some nice flowers or something on the way home to cool things down, HAHA...
Or maybe `should make things worse and just stay on the sofa tonight, with my new toys, LOL;)

Anyone else been caught "In the act" by the wifey...?

My wife isn't into my knives but she just looks the other way most of the time. Until Xmas when she asked if she should get me a knife and to write down which one. So being Xmas I told her that I was eying a 0551. Being the good wife she is she looked into them and found just how pricey they are. I got the whole "do you know how much that thing cost? Is that what all your knives cost? You have that much money tied up in sharpened metal?" I thought quickly and said no I have cheap stuff. That the 0551 was a pipe dream.

She got me clothes for Xmas.

you've got to be kidding, knives are about all I use to card for (and ammo if I find a good price). The only good thing is I have three file drawers of knives that I have to sell, so occasionally it balances out well (even come out ahead a couple of times). I'm just happy that I've started cutting back to just stuff I know I'll use.

My wife likes knives. She supports my "habit".

When OT is up I binge on Amazon with the free shipping (I have Prime). During the summer its bad, because shed a teacher. I'll come home to several boxes on the counter and get "the look"....and can't use the "I traded for it" excuse.

Guess the flowershop is my best bet yeah...
Can`t wait to get home and fondle my new goodies, lol...

I will never ever experience my wife buying me knives me thinks... And if she ever did, I think it would be some cheap-a.. chinese junk, haha
I`ts clothes all the way here, she is getting a little tired of biker- or woodsie- cind off clothing I think, hehe

Mine said that she's going to bribe the post lady not to deliver stuff anymore.

My girl walks with a limp now.

cook her a wonderful dinner using the new "cutlery" you just aquired.. along with flowers and you should be good.

Yep, i get the same type of response.... I'd say plan on cooking a nice dinner, cleaning up afterward and hope she is forgiving.

Budget's are a terribly, wonderful thing.....

I usually just say..."and what exactly were you doing out of the kitchen?".

:D

Been there, done that. We're over it. :)

We have our own fun-fund and we can spend it on whatever we like or save it. If we sell something (either stuff we make or old "toys"), then it can go into the fun-fund as long as we put aside enough to replace supplies if it's something we make to sell. When something shows at the front door, there's no questions asked, although she does still shake her head when she sees another knife. However, staying within the bounds of our budget, it's all ok.

I'm usually able to get to packages first but the time I DID get busted recently, it just happened to be my Quark Mini 123 and not a knife for once so I was able to explain that it's important to have a decent light for an emergency or to change a flat. Luckily the Q Mini 123 is only like 35 bucks on Amazon and not as pricey as some of the other things I usually get delivered...

I don't usually sneak. And I keep the wife happy by buying her sharp objects too. She can't hardly complain when she gets a new sword, bowie, or kitchen knife periodically.

The wife gets a new camaro next year when she grads nursing school, It takes alot of machaxes to balance out 40k. That's pretty much the beginning and end of any knife purchase discussion.

When all else fails though she gets one of these
