  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Oooh, busted.....

Actually, we have shared accounts, I have a motorcycle hobby too, and army-"fetish", so she has alot to say, LOL...
She works in accounting, and when I called the shots in the economy-department around here we almost went bancrupt, cause I am really bad at economics.

We made a deal that day, I transfer almost all of my pay to her, keep some for myself, and she handles all the bills, grocery-shopping and so on.
Our ecconomy is now hundred times better, and we are both much more relaxed.

I know "whipped" some of you would say, but I somehow feel comfortable with the arrangement, haha

Actually yes I am and I have a son as well and expecting another child on the way. I was just joking about my comment up there...my wife would kill me. I do dream of doing that but I fear the wrath of the amazon.

"If mama ain't happy - ain't nobody happy!!!!"

Yea, i was teasing around. Seems like when i was single and no kids i had all the best advice in the world on marriage and parenting. Ha! Married life is *awesome* - wouldn't change it, but avalanches and erupting volcanoes are awesome too.....

"Whipped"?!? Nope, no way.

Old school advice, "Work within your 'skill areas' or strengths and negotiate everything else like a shark!!!

i've a friend with prime, and he uses it for EVERYTHING. wifey knows he's "saving money" by getting best prices, no shipping, not wasting gas, and all that.

more importantly: EVERYTHING... faucets. washers. screws. hammers. random household stuff. wifey is invited to open whatever she likes. she got bored looking at stuff trying to catch her hubby :> course, he mixes it up. sometimes. randomly :) plus, if he's found? it's for the garden/whatever. he's just not excessive.

the OTHER guy i know? his wife critiques EVERYTHING... did you fill the car ALL the way up? or WHY did you DO THAT? never the same twice. can't win. he has his own funds. he also has his own mail drop. plus he has a buddy that stuff gets sent to or the office. he's the honey badger. he's stopped giving a crap :) i don't see that lasting more than a few more years unless she traps him with a baby.

mmm

Prime kicks royal ass, I love it more than I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch. And if you know me, them are bold words...

Damn, I'm not sure I'd take the chance. I'd at least call her and try to work it out from the neighbor's house first.

:D

Married 10 years, Wife is not spendy at all. I work all the time and very hard for my Fam. As long as they are up and out of the way she is good. I do get the teasing about new knifes so I bought her one! I got her a Pink Izula for the diaper bag (I know...) and it recently bit her (bad un-sheathing). Hell, at least she uses it! I had a small sebenza on me last week and she used it a few times and now claims it as hers. I told her if she took mine I would have to buy another to which "whatever, you will anyways"....True. :D

July will mark my 16th year in prison. I'm the money spender in my household, she's about as frugal as they come. She will spend 5 mins debated the cost vs value on items, by weight, size, etc.

I won't slow down for even one second when I hit the "BUY" button. Never look back, only at the mailbox. :D

She doesn't gripe at me, as long as the bills are paid, foods in the fridge, and all is taken care of.

Thank gawd for that, it would suck to have a hardass warden.

this is why you always scout your area before going home, and have a "nest" to hide in :)

barring that, snipers and remotes :)

if she has a blender with her, that's reason to hit your backup site and never leave

When OT is up I binge on Amazon with the free shipping (I have Prime). During the summer its bad, because shed a teacher. I'll come home to several boxes on the counter and get "the look"....and can't use the "I traded for it" excuse.

That's what I tell my old lady all the time. But man it sucks when its from Amazon or some other retailer... LMAO

Married 27 years this year, wow. Purses & shoes for her, knives & guns for me. I tell her: when TSHTF, put your shoes on, grab your purses & beat the hell outta anyone that comes in the front door with em, as for me, I'll grab my favorite guns & knives & cover the other door. Let me know how that works out for ya ! LOL :D

My wife does the checking account and after 25-years all is good. Knives are cheap...guns are $$$. She does not bat an eye over a knife:D

This is probably one place where I have a distinct advantage over most of you......."honey it's research" is actually true most of the time.........Every knife teaches me something......Also Susan understands when I buy for investment.....Almost always stuff I like, mind........I hate to say safe queen but I have to fess up that there are more and more of them.........Partly because the question of "Do I test the newest 'investment' or the newest Becker?" is not always easy to answer.......Gotta spend more time in the woods !!!!!!........

I said it before and I'll say it again, you sir lead a charmed existence.

One upside of a seperation...I aint gota worry about "matching" my purchases with Her purchases. Although in all fairness she was supportive, in fact it's only easier to get gear Now because I don't have to order two of everything.
