OPEN carry in California

I was wondering what the laws are in California concerning open carry of cutlery.

Are there exceptions to the laws of open carry due to factors such as locations (e.g. schools)? If so, what are they?

many, many, many exceptions, especially in certain cities and in all schools. You need to check local laws before you decide to carry. Of course a small folder is inofensive, but I assume you are talking fixed blades.
