Hopefully this weekend (weather permitting) I will be conducting a test on 7" knives. So far the knives I have in stock ready to test are.

Cold Steel Recon Scout CV
Busse #7
Fällkniven A1 Bush knife
MAD DOG ATAK

This will be an all out HEAD to Head Competition with heavy emphasis on cutting and edge holding abilities.

Those wishing to come by and watch this test need to send me an email. I will attempt the test on Sunday the 26th at 12 Noon.

What kind of stress tests will you do? It will be interesting to see which one comes out on top since there has been a lot of discussion on the subject. Since I have one coming you could say my money's on the Busse. Or rather on my CC bill.

I hope you'll throw a Ka-Bar or Ontario in there as a reference.

I hope everyone enjoys the testing. Its a bit far for me though-maybe next time? ( If I win the Lottery! )

The pen is mightier than the sword...outside of arm's reach. Modify radius accordingly for rifle.


 
Mike, did you ever get that CS Recon Scout I sent to you? If you get it before Sunday maybe you could cut a serration pattern in it with your diamond wheel. Using it along side those other knives would provide valuable information.

I love how all these people toss Recon Scouts around it seems like...lol. Wish I could do that.

7 in knives? no KaBar? cmon Mike, toss a Next gen in there...would love to see how it stacks up...
 
I would like to see an original Ka-bar added, and a Bushman, too, for reference standards.

Anyone who's willing to send knives to be tested is more than welcome.

I'd like to see how more than a few knives perform, but let's get real here folks, we're not going to add every knife out there if they aren't donated to the cause.

Busse, Mission, Camillus all have donated a knife for testing. James donated a Fallkniven A1. I'd like to get a pristine SEAL ATAK to test as well, so that no one can claim bias with the one that we currently have (any volunteers?), and Mike's contributing a Trailmaster and a Cold Steel Recon Scout.

If you have a knife you are itching to have tested, we'll be more than happy to. But lets not go hog wild on including knives to be tested if you aren't going to help pony them up, ok? No offense....
