Rusty: Calm down, breath into a paper bag ( if you can find a paper bag anymore!) I've had my difficulties with our postal friends meself. I've even left them notes to leave those suspicious long boxes in my utility room in my carport but those UR................
I'm better now, kind people won't do it. CYA because of insurance on the package, I guess. You've only got a few hours left, be strong, you'll make it. If you don't, I could be forced to give your katana a good home

Got it and headed for a nameless friend's ( sound familiar? ).
He hadn't read the forums the last day or two so I related the events in the "How sharp is sharp" thread.
We located the area of rust you'd told me of and he suspected it was something off the scabbard. We were near the workbench and he proceeded to dremmel the area and then polish it.
As we shook hands to go he showed me his other, the one used to hold the Tarwar while he polished it. Seems he just noticed it itching and looked, and there was an 1 1/2" to 2" slice in it, just the slightest line of red. Had that sheepish look we all get when we realize we know better but did something dumb anyway. Like Yvsa's comment " I haven't done somemthing like that since the last time ".
I'm assuming the Tarwar, like the Katana, is also sharp enough.

I hope a new AK finds its way to my door tomorrow.
Shoulda been here today. Sure hope that you know who didn't take it off the postman and head back to his lair. (But then that's info for another thread.)
