opening a "flipper"

I have a few knives with flippers, and while they're all good (mostly Kershaws), I think the best flipper is on my CRKT M16. Of course, it's hard to compare the majority of Kershaw's flippers since they're usually AO .

If you want something high end, those combat elite folders look pretty l33t.

Ok i gotta ask, what the heck is l33t? :)

Back to the flippers:

I own a couple kershaws and a CRKT m-16. The kershaws have pretty good lfippers but the m-16 is the easiest to use and is faster than others IMO.

Wait until you get to a custom knife!! My Hinderer XM-18's flipper is smoooooooth & oh so sweet.

l33t, or 1337, is computer nerd talk for really cool (loose translation, there are actually many meanings)

There is also something called l33t speak, which is typing replacing letters with numbers.

Example:

T|-|15 15 1337 5P34K
This is leet speak.

Feel free to get back on topic now, sorry :o

Well if you want a non-assisted knife with a flipper then I would suggest the small M16's. I have the large M16 tanto and while it does work without any wrist movement, the smaller ones are quicker.

If you don't care about flicking your wrist then check out the Kershaw Storm II, it's a non- assisted frame lock knife with a flipper , very high quality , very low price.

If you want an assist with a flipper, check out the Kershaw Speed or Spec Bump. Lots of knife for the money.
