Opening Day of Dove Season

Jec, sure thing. Here's you a photo of a Dec. Gambel's quail. I'm holding my 500 Duke, an excellent knife for dressing birds. I'll not exit without telling you about my dog Suzy. She listens well, points and retrieves. I'm positive she can translate my rube English. A great dog to take bird hunting.Thank you, DM

Here's a White-wing and Buck's 424. I used that knife on this one and it was enough knife for birds. These are about double the size of Mourning Doves. DM
 
Your welcome. If a fellow can get out just a little with his dog, shotgun and buck knife to a secret spot. It will help him feel a lot better, come Monday. I'll try to get some more pictures. DM
 
Horse, I knew you'd chime in with me. The doves aren't flying much today as rain has settled in. But my Buck and dog are standing ready. Thanks, DM
