Operation 2 Weeks. . . What's Happening??? . . . Big Changes!!!!

Finally, 2 weeks is Really going to be 2 weeks, Boss must have got a calendar for Christmas

I appreachiate that too, past year i felt like time is speeding up and the pace was really tough.

A good decision which most/all hogs will support i guess.

We are buried alive!!!!! . . . Send scotch bearing St. Bernards!!!!

Our current work load has us scrambling the jets!!!! o_O

In order to not get crushed under the avalanche of orders like we did in OP2W Round 1, we are implementing a few changes.

Expect far fewer models . . . . . with 2, 3, and 4 weeks in between offers.

The next offer is not scheduled for approx. 2-4 weeks!!!

These changes should ensure that we can keep delivery dates in check. :D:thumbsup:

Let's Drink!!!

Jerry :D

O.M.G.!! FINALLY SOME SANITY!!! THANK YOU BOSSMAN!!!

Quality over Quantity is a good thing.
We don't want a lot of whining squealing Hogs. :p

That’s part of the problem. The quality never seems to decline with Busse.

But I, nevertheless, welcome a bit slower pace. While I’m not worried about quality, I am worried about quantity. After receiving the first A2 blade of three I have ordered, if I had known this was coming, I would have ordered more. And probably a second Silent Knight. And a second V8. Hmmm... this might backfire, at least on me. If I know I have more time between offerings, honestly, I’m more likely to order extras... I mean, after all, we only have one go around on this earth....

Yeah busse doesnt cut corners. But pumping out custom blades at production knife "assembly line like kabar" paces probably has them all beat.

I can’t find a problem with this. It'll save us all a little bit.

This is good all around for me. I would also imagine that the pace of offerings cannibalized some sales, as in folks dumping multiples out of orders when they saw an SK or a V8...or just full on cancelling orders. I took a look at my orders and adjusted some here and there as a case in point. You would like to think there is someone in waiting list to snatch all these up but with so many models and things like SK, V8, potential for TGLBLE etc, there might not be as much demand for the less sexy blades now available through order downgrading.

Also, it was getting to be like the news cycle for me, too many knives to really get excited and wait for the ones I ordered because I forgot about them as soon as another offering came out.

And the knives are what I really want. Something tangible to hold and use and/or pass along if it does not suit me.

So anything that increases turnaround time and gives the guys a realistic working pace is great all around.

It felt a little manic there in the thick of it all.

I agree about holding back on orders / multiples thinking that the next week offer might be better. Now that there is some breathing room between offers that might change things.

I still wish I ordered a few more Hog Badgers!!! ;)

Just the right moment to pile onto the backlog, it's BGWTF time (in case it gets pulled down in two weeks).

I wish this came out last week lol I wouldn' cancel my 2nd PR in DC for sure lol

Hello Jerry, I live close by, would be happy to drive out on weekends, help around the Shop, or in Shipping, drink and smoke cigars with the crew; anything to help.

I'm a giver that way!

You know all jokes aside I do appreciate the hard work that goes into designing and providing fine high quality blades from Busse combat. The fit and finish is top shelf.
If I had a better indication of when production bills are to be finalized I can better manage my finances to accomodate my purchases. I’m still a rookie so kind of doing calculations based on offerings and ding updates from the bro texicans thread makes it difficult.
When Busse combat knives go on offer and I want it I hesitate in placing an order because I’d hate to book a place and then later realise it’s not financially possible to follow up with the payment hence sending cancellation emails and troubling the Busse admin team and feeling poor.
If I could book a slot knowing the exact date the bill is due it would eliminate this pride slap.
Guess it’s just tough having knife addiction. Anyone feel me here?

All of these posted comments apply to me also.
I regret canceling or not ordering a second version, however some deer ate my money tree.

Well I have two sheaths for my BG FBM one in leather and one David Brown kydex. This sounds like an excuse to order another FBM in Maroon and Midnight Blue.

I support the slower pace. I can't buy everything that comes down the pipe.

All I ask is more offerings in the 4-5" range with FFG blades and comfy handles for big hands, about .20 thick at most.

Also, can we haz another shot at a tank buster? Or something like it with that blade shape? I missed out and am sad.
