Operation Rolling Thunder . . . . Rages On!!!

Done a bit of work in the woods around my house with the Fusion Battle HUCK, and with the ... uhhh... earlier Kuhkri... that I can't remember the name. Part of one of the Op 2 Wks. Anyway, they're pretty mean choppers. But it took me a while to figure out exactly where the sweet spot is for chopping. Kuhks were... are... a totally new animal to me.
Kinda wish they had made a run of Fusion Battle Hucks without the fin. That would be a WICKED fighter... I think. With the fin, I'd be afraid if you made a mis-hit and happened to pierce, it would be a bear trying to get it back out.

Well, rereading this.
The other Kukri from o2w were the HUCK and the HUCK Fin. I know the specs and the weight difference (about 8oz), what are your impressions between the two?
I know I love the Fusion handle, but have never tried the HUCK handle.

The Custom shop has put out some Fusion Battle HUCK Fins with the fin shave down a bit so it's more of a little fin. Also member donscpoo has a picture of his with the whole fin shaved down...they All look Wicked! 😱😱🍺🍺

Oh wow! They added back the HRII in Comp Finish back! That's AWESOME
They also added the Satin Jack Tac 7's!!
Man, now those are 2 Cadillac models right there now! 😎
 
Btw, Bossman or Garth;
Is there no handle options for the Satin Jack Tac 7's other than the ones shown?
I saw the option for the Danny The Bull Leather Sheath but, no option for different scales at all.
Probably just a mistake...

I prefer the HUCK handle. With the weight of the Fusion Battle HUCK Fin, when you hit with it (especially hard wood, if you don't it it right in the sweet spot), it tends to jam my finger closest to the butt end, so usually the middle knuckle of my little finger. After a while, that gets painful. With the HUCK, because of the shape, that doesn't happen. Yet because of the flare of the handle, I haven't had a problem with grip retention. So, overall, I prefer the HUCK. BUT, if and once you find the sweet spot on either, that tends to be less of a problem. I just don't work with them enough to really embed that sweet spot location in my mind. And they're different than a straight-edged knife.

Damn, damn, double-damn. I've been regerting not getting the SJT7... but I STILL am not flush with cash. Might have to get one anyway, and try to release something else.

Got me to thinking about the last HRII I had. Man, it was Nice!! I may have to grab another!

Btw, I think your gonna LOVE that HRII, I think it'll blow that BG HR outta the water to be honest..... I really loved mine.....just got hard up and it had 2 go... 😔

What about a Nano Battle HUCk? A 10" bladed HUCK with a slightly scaled down HUCK handle? 😱🍺
