Bought these for use at the dinner table since I'm a fan of 12c27, but they arrived with all of the blades having awful burrs throughout and totally useless for cutting.
I have sharpening stones, so I took care of it and now they are razor sharp, but its pretty horrid QC for a company like Opinel to let these get out the door like this.
Otherwise, these seem pretty great, time will tell.

It's a mass produced factory blade. None of them "hone" their blades more than 3 seconds on a belt. It's all about units per hour/day. But they are very usable knives for the price even if they're Inox.

I have had wire edge or burrs on more than a few factory makers, at higher costs. I've even had a custom knife with a pretty wicked wire edge. It was nasty sharp, but as with all wire edges, it would roll over and dull whenever I cut something. Had to sharpen it out.
