When I get these $7 dollar sodubsters from SMKW I do a quick rework (20 minutes) and you'd never know this was a cheap knife.

I scotchbrite blade and handle (removes hokey blade image) then Danish Oil the handle. DAMN. They actually use pretty walnut on the handles.

Great suggestion!
