Opinel Question

last summer on a survival course i brought a ontario SP4 and an Opinel 8 carbon, the sp4 cut nothing!, the opinel, did everything from shelter biulding, firemaking (firesteel hit with the back\spine), food making and so on for 3 days.

it still cuts paper with what remains form the PACTORY edge, so...i'm more than impressed from it, was expecting a little less and it gave me more, i bought it to see where it could arrive and did not manage to dull it with all that work!

so now a 8 inox is in my survival kit as the "folder" a RAT as the "fixed".

thanks for reading
Maxx

PS ally my opis' have a lanayard at the bottom, helps with the grip in the woods, i reccomend it

An excellent knife, but will not take abuse.
They lock well with the mechanical ring.
The thin carbon stock makes for a very sharp cutter.
It holds the edge well.
The thin stock is excellent for food prep.
It will cut what ever you want it to.
The round wood handle is very comfortable.
Designed from years of working people using it.
The handle is very easy to tinker with if you wish to change it.
Comes in different woods.

And you cannot argue with the price.
Well worth owning one, or two...
