i've decided, since i hear such good things about them, to buy an opinel. which opinel would anyone recommend? i like to carry a sizeable knife (right now i've got my old timer folding hunter, 5 1/4" closed) and i've got rather large hands. advice?
also, does anyone know a good place to get one?
 
I think the #9 is a good choice. 3 1/2" blade, 4 5/8" handle (including the lock area. 8 1/8" total.
Or go by this info to help you choose the one you want.
These things are great car knives or loaner's because of the price.

I just picked up a #8. I looked at the 7 and 9, but just like the 8. It fit my hand just right. Not a bad knife for under $10.00.

thanks, guys, i think i'll get the #9. i like the sound of a 3 1/2 inch blade a little better i guess, and i can always send it back (shipping costs... ouch...) if it doesn't feel right.
hey, do any of you know lots about old timer? i have an unusual one i'd like to get some info on.
