Opinels not straight??

Is it just me or has anyone else unboxed an Opinel to find that the blade to handle alignment is off-set a few degrees? I have bought 3 new Opinels (size 2, 8, and 10) and the only with a straight blade is the number 2. Don't get me wrong, these things function great and are the sharpest knives I have ever used, but they're crooked. Anyone else???

The blade is like that for a reason if you go to opinels web site they will explain why they are bent down like that.

Its a sub $20 knife, I wouldn't worry about it. A couple of my Moras have a degree or two of slant that is visible to the naked eye. Doesn't effect function.

Like said above these things are disposable tools in most parts of the world, only us knife nuts choose to treat them like more than they are. Myself included.

OP is talking about the knife being bent along it's length. Not the cant at the pivot.

Looking down at the blade from above the spine, some will be bent to one direction.

Mine is bent like this too. Noticeable open, and especially noticeable closed when it clearly sits rubbing against one side of wood.

Doesn't appear to affect function so it doesn't bother me on a $20 knife.
