What problem are you admitting to? There is no problem in being an Opinel addict. I haven't been without since 1978 myself. ;)

Me neither, Kukri, but for me it's because the Sodbuster fills in that simple, effective working tool need. Soddies and Opinels have alot in common, so that's why I don't need one. What's YOUR Opinel replacement?

Mr. Montlahuc sent me the message below (translated here ;)) :
"Thanks for your intrest. The stag models cost € 60 for the n° 8 and € 75 for the n° 10. For the quality of the assembly the bolster is made in wood to prevent problems with bladeplay. Filing can be done as you wish.
Don't hesitate if you have other questions or ideas on customizing."
'Translating' the euro's :
€ 60.00 = $ 85,41
€ 75.00 = $ 106,76

I've always been happy with the Opinel's availability in different sizes to fit different hands and tasks. Number 7 fits me best, and my wife swears by her No.6. Great knives especially for the low cost.

Mine is a Daddy Barlow by Hoot Gibson,won it at the Gator Knife Show at Lakeland Fl.a few yrs.ago.Sorry,no camera ,so no pics.I had a OP & tried to like it...but it just didn't talk to me...if that makes sense to you.I have too many choices before I would choose an OP.Sigh...to me the OP is just butt...ugly!:D Just "my"opinion.
