Okay, good to know. What's a good lil' sharpener by the way? I never had the chance to sharpen my SOG over the past couple years and it kinda sucked to just watch it get duller and duller.

the spyderco sharpmaker is excellent for such a low price but if you want something amazing for sharpening look into wicked edge or edge pro

Yet another example of how many knifenuts I've noticed in Florida :D so glad I'm moving there in September!

Definatly go for the Adamas, you won't regret it, a bit.

You might also look into the carbon fiber Blur (1670CF154). Compared to the S30V Blur, the only real differences are the handle inserts (carbon fiber vs. TracTec) and blade steel (CPM154 vs. S30V). I find the CF inserts aren't as rough on the pockets, and the CPM154 has been holding up at least as well as the S30V for my uses.

The Barrage 580 or 581 are also both pretty nice. It is a bit bulkier than the Blur though. The ZT 0350 is sort of like a Blur on steroids. It's a slightly shorter blade length, but it is a beefier blade. There are also a few upcoming ZT's (0566 and 0770) that look great.

Hah, I found out that there's a registered Benchmade dealer in the mall about 25mins from my house. I'm gonna go down there sometime this week (after calling to check if they've got the 580 Barrage & the 275 Adamas) to see which I like better in my hand.

Yup thats the sharpmaker it will suit your needs for keeping an edge on an edc, the wicked edge is if you want to go farther and mirror polish your edges which looks awsome. Im currently saving up for one.

Its very easy to use you place the rods in the stand then hold your knife straight up and down and slide the blade down 1 rod then the other alternating swipes on the rods it comes with an instuctional dvd aswell. You can watch how its used on youtube. There are 2 different types of rods each with 2 grits so you can get a blade pretty damn sharp.

Kinda like how you hold a honing steel vertically when honing kitchen knives, and draw them across/down? Sounds simple enough. :D

Hmm I found a store that is a Benchmade dealer, that has the 580 Barrage in stock (so I can see/feel it in person), but I checked the 3 nearest stores to me and NONE of them had any of the 275 Adamas....
