Opinion of Tops Knives?

Excellent knives in terms of their quality of build. Most of their designs are kind of bizarre and/or sharpened tactical pry bars. Factory edges are often on the broad side. However, if you dig through their designs there are lots of good ones, and are worth every penny.

I have the Iraq-Jac and love it. It is a super strong blade design and fits my hand well even though I have ape hands. I modified the sheath for horizontal carry and hardly notice it. The combination of the jimping on the spine with the finger grooves and black canvas micarta handle really melts into my hand. It is one of the best fitting knives I own as far as ergonomics. I did have to reheat the kydex up at the back to seat the knife better, right where your thumb would be, as it loosened up a bit. Overall, I would say it is a good edc fixed blade and will buy more from them in the future.

I have several of TOPS knives. Good construction, good customer service. As has been said some of the designs are better then others. A lot depends on your needs.

Yeah, ignore their sometimes bizarre designs, not to mention the dumbass mall ninja names, and pick the design that suits your needs. I own a ton of nice knives and three Tops knives are among them. I consider them at the top of the list (pun intended). Strength, fit and finish, materials, construction. Very hard to beat'em, even at their marginally higher prices. .
