Opinions for a Piglet

For sure, a mid size user means you need a WTF!

Nice midrange size blade length. Should have great geometry with how tall the blade is.

Nice portable size, but should chop well.

You definitely need the WTF.

Can you tell I'm excited about the WTF?

Well, I used to carry a Sar Squatch for my mid sized blade. I mean, some of the blades considered midsized for Bussey fans, would be over the top sized choppers for many!

That's the truth! I consider all of these choices to be large knives. I consider my Tank Buster to be mid-size. The SFNO isn't that big obviously but that is where big knife country starts IMO.

SFNO has a 7 inch blade-great mid-size knife, to me anything larger than say 9 inches is where you get into Big Knifes-That is what makes the NMSFNO one of my favorites, 8 inch blade that can chop when needed, but still perform food prep etc. all the knives mentioned are great knives

HHFSH if you can find one NMSFNO would be my second choice and the easier of the two to acquire

Wow, thanks for all the replies. I do hsve a BGHR and SHe2 on order. I was wanting that touch longer to just try out.

As for my location, I'm in the Harrisonburg area of Virginia.

SYKCO 711 and 911 are worth a look. Great blades, great value.
