Opinions in this type of finish? Taped off sand blasting

Was going for a different type of look and something new. Has anyone tried anything like this before and does it look sloppy? I polished the blade then taped it off and did a sort of camo type pattern then used a medium aluminum oxide sand in the sand blaster. Opinions?

I like it. Unique for sure. If it doesn't hold up finish wise then you can always blast the whole blade of remove the blasting finish.

That's a good point that I didn't even think of. I wonder how it would look if I used some cold blueing on the sand blasted area? Or did the same technique with a ferric chloride dip.
