Opinions on 3 Dozier knives wanted

Straight personal or companion would be fine. They slip right into your pocket as well in the sheaths with no big bulges if you should wish to have them along that way. A.G. Russell has some nice versions of all Bobs knives ready to go on his site. I also have a slim outdoorsman with jig bone handle and that is a real nice carry and fine for hunting as well. Thats more toward the 3.5 inch mark. You might also check out knifeart.com they have a 3 inch clip point with G-10 handle thats a neck knife exclusive to them. It will work fine in pocket as well, or as a neck knife. Also on Bladeart.com they have a couple unique small doziers for sale. He makes variations at times that are not in his catalog or on his site.
I love his stuff. Just awesome for working.

Keep in mind the dress style and intended purposes of the blade that was mentioned. I' d go with the non cataloged Drop Point Personal. Its blade stock (at least mine) is only 1/8" and comes with a spectacular high hollow grind. All Doziers can really cut. But this thinly ground model is close to a strait razors edge. Its handle configuration is the same as the familiar Personal Utility. OAL is only 6 3/8". Lightweight, compact with a full feel of a larger knife. And with black micarta scales it is less likely to attract excessive attention. The near horizontal (slightly angled, NOT fully horizontal)belt sheath provides a very natural draw whether one choose to wear it front strong side abdomen or crossdraw. It will conceal quite well if a jacket is worn since it does not mount right in the middle buckle area. Whichever Dozier you choose you cannot go wrong. A good investment to say the least.

BTW, bead blast is nice. But for a genuine hard use finish go with CHECKERING! Nuff said.

I really love my Straight Personal, and use it as pretty much an EDC. You can really forget you have it on (diagonal sheath). My favorite Dozier is my Arkansas Toothpick if it's within your size parameters.Mine has IWB cross draw sheath. You won't go wrong with either of these.:D :D

I have a Straight Personal on order from Bob Dozier now. I'm 2 months into a 4 month wait and I'm counting the days. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
