Opinions on Bark River Knives, Please...

welcome to the forums WesinND!

I see no reason to add fuel to the fire (the thread linked by cliffstamp:jerkit: is a business transaction between two businessman) and has zero to do with he or I...

but I know for a fact Mike Stewart stands behind his product and they are damn fine in my book. I own plenty! that should show anyone right there, repeat customers!

go out there and make an educated decision on them by holding one or testing one (not with a cinder block)

The personality of the Bark Rivers seems to be one of a knife made to be used and used hard without breaking down.

It isn't a cute little "girlie" knife with its gold and ivory adornments that only sits on a self somewhere to be shown off to friends at the cocktail party.

A slight variance in specs of scales or a bit of glue around a pin is a "so-what" in my book. It doesn't affect the purpose for the knife in the slightest. If the Bark River didn't hold an edge, or if it had a weak blade that was subject to breaking or chipping out, then we have something to be concerned about. This is just my opinion.

I wonder what knives they are giving out in the contest? Do they give different knives or pretty much the same knife?
Any of the winners have got your knife?
