Opinions on Chris Reeve Knives

100% worth the $$ - ya wont regret buying 1 - they are worth it - very well made....

Just as functional?

As far as using the knife to separate matter, the military far outclasses the seb. Nearly four inches of razor sharp fully flat ground 440V? All solids quake in fear of the military! Of course, the sebenza is stronger, will last longer, looks better...

I picked up a large sebenza 3 days ago. Though 345$ i think had i gotten it 6 months ago i would have saved money by not buying other lesser knives. Although al mar sere, benchmade axis and kershaw boa are not in the same price range, i never would have bought any of them had i gotten a sebenza first.

So clunk down the change and end up saving money. About the only knife that i now am glad i also own is the beretta tactical knife, it's quite unique.

Very very nice "high end" production knife. They're very very plain and yes, expensive.......

But what a tuff knife !

I elected to purchase on the secondary market for $250 and then send ot CRK for a refurb.

Personally, the only draw back is the cost/looks (of a Sebenza) Vs a true custom. Large plain "benza" ~ $345.....you can generally buy a custom for that much (or another $50 - $100).

Will never own a "decorated or wood" sebenza due to the price. For the cost of a decorated or wood......I'll buy a custom.

The Sebenza is a VERY nice "high end" production knife. Yes, some are plain , but some are not

.

Expensive compared to a custom? I don't think so.... How many custom maker's will use the same materials, provide the same level of fit and finish, and outstanding warranty for the price of the Sebenza. I don't think you will see a long line.

Some custom makers take them in trade for their knives. Ask them what kind of trade you'll get for the Pinnacle clipped to your pocket.

When someone tells you "it's ALMOST as good as the Sebenza", you can stop listening after "ALMOST".....

Buy one and see for yourself. I did and now I own three. Searching the sale forum for a plain large....
