If I'm not mistaken, that's a 'Spirit' machine gun, model 14KI-6. It is so deadly that it will be banned at the next Geneva Convention. I own the only other known 14KI-6. I bought it for a few beans from a fellow who says he got it from someone who knew someone who worked at Area 51.

Old man Fikes;)

LOL! I just about sprayed my monitor with coffee when I read that one. :D And the pic itself is about the funniest damn thing I have seen on the forums. Does his Mommy know that he is "stalking the night" with a cardboard machine gun? :jerkit:

Anyone want to bet that the kid (I mean Nightstalker) is holding the belt of ammo against the side of the cardboard box (I mean machine gun) with his left thumb?

Bravo 26,

My wife, Maggie, just surprised me by offering to make your friend a knife... no charge... on the condition he return the knife when he gets back to the States safe and sound.

Lest you think this is a joke, I'll refer you to the thread posted on this forum a while back that was entitled 'A new bladesmith few know about'. I'll vouch for the fact that the knife will be just as sharp and tough as a Shiva Ki. I'll also mention, since you won't know me from Adam, that I'm the same 'Fikes' named in the thread above by Flava when he compared one of my blades to one of Master Ki's.

You can email Maggie at OleyFermo@aol.com if the offer interests you. You'll need to do it soon, since the time for your friends departure is not that far away. Please put 'Fikes knives' in the subject line of the email.

Old man Fikes... who married a madwoman:thumbup:

Bravo 26, I'd jump on this if your serious about your buddy and a knife. Preston

Jimmy has long been one of my bladesmithing heroes, I see Maggie is carving a place there right along with him.

VERY VERY COOL!!!

You would have to be a ginormous idiot to not take Maggie and Jimmy up on this offer!!!!! I'm talking FLAT-OUT STUPID!!!

Maggie's work is amazing, and if it gets the knodd from Mr. Jimmy Fikes, it's gonna cut like a motha' on steroids.

DO IT!!! :D

Thanks Maggie, you rock!!! :D

Another view of the same machinegun:

It just doesn´t look real to me.

Allright, pjsjr and Roger P and Nick,

Maggie's bad enough already about hogging the forge. You guys are going to make her intolerable.;) I (we) thank you kindly for your positive remarks on Maggie's work. I had to fix lunch... open-face tuna melt and salad... because she wouldn't stop working on the knife. She's named it Fleur du Mort, by the way... Flower of Death. Joss'll correct our French, I hope. I can't even speak English, much less French.

On the 1990 census form, there was a space where you were supposed to list your 'occupation'. I wrote in 'MAINTAINING CONTROL'. It seems, with Maggie in the shop and me in doing the cooking, I'll have to revise that next time the censes rolls around.

Just call me 'barefoot, looking pregnant and in the kitchen'.

Old, OLD man Fikes :grumpy:

Mr. Fikes, it's a pleasing surprise to see you here!
If you want to see the knife I used for that cutting, you can take a look here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3490561
It is the carbon steel one at the begining. There are some pics of a big damascus one at the bottom, played with it a few months ago ... too bad the wife didn't let me sell her car to buy it. :D The good news is I managed to save the pics :)

Thanks, Joss AND Flava...

When I'm speaking with Joss, it's 'de', and with flava 'de la'. Now I've got it.

I wish Fred Perrin and his wife, Bene, would make another visit here. Bene used to chide me for my poor (non-existent) French. She'd tell me that my accent was one of the best she'd ever heard... then pop me on the back of the head, and say, "If you only had WORDS!!"

Speechless Fikes:p

hmmm, severedthumbs, even if money is not an issue, i wouldn't turn down maggies most generous offer... and i say this as an owner of a kressler knife...

jimmy, my french is even worse than my english, but i am quite sure that both versions are grammatically correct, fleur de mort and fleur de la mort.

Now I read the whole thread I see this offer of Maggies. Totally go for it, that is a sick hamon. Very generous offer, wow.

Correct - as you could say "Flower of the Death" in English. A bit awkward maybe...
