I really like the looks of this knife. Recently, I had the opportunity to fondle one and it felt "knice"!!!

I'm a huge hunter and would likely put this thing to some serious use. Anyone offer pros/cons before I drop the cash on one?

I already own the AG Vanguard. Would the Ergo Hunter be just a tad redundant.

(Funny, asking a bunch of knife collector's if it's possible to be redundant. What am I thinking? :D)

Thanks in advance!

My opinion is I intend to get one cause looks great. If you havent used up you prosite privledges, you may want to check it out.

I have been saving a buy for that very reason. Earlier, it was not available. I noticed recently that it is.

LOL, and we are a bit obsessive about Buck knives.

The Vanguard is a wonderful knife but it is a generalist. Great all-purpose camp/hunting knife. The Ergo Hunter (I have a rosewood 420hc B.O.) is more of a skinner in my opinion. It most certainly is more comfortable in your hand.

So here it comes...you knew the answer already. I own both and you should too. :D

I have the Avid model, and I have to agree with Flat 100%!!!

You can never have too many Buck Knives! :D

I guess I really have no choice. What else should I put in the cart while I'm buying from the Pro Site?

I haven't got my hands on any ergo knives yet, they are coming though, lol, hope the ergo folder is good for a lefty.

Look at my location and excuse me for my English.
I'm owner of both these knives.

Ergo Hunter has very good grip and many variations for the handle grip.
This knife cuts like a gas chainsaw.
Knife is for example in my hand.

Excuse me, the photo I have is only from old hunting.

I'm glad to hear that Jim,If all feels right with the folder,i'll get a fixed blade as well.Whitetail archery season is on now,i've passed a few small bucks already, but gun season opens this friday i'll probably be using some buck knives on deer!

Ordered it today with the last of my Pro Site discounts for this year. Man, what a discount too!!! Cleared the cost of my BCCI membership by a long shot. Tossed in a couple of caps for the kiddos.

Can't wait to get it. Perhaps I'll get to drag it through a big South Texas buck in a couple of weeks!

Has any left hander used/gripped knife? If so, do you think it will be comfortable/controllable if used by a left hander in the field. thanks in advance.
