I know about buying the best tool for the money and that is always the best idea. But I do not know much about Central Machinery. I have heard some good and bad. I have a metal band saw by Central Machinery and for my needs seems to be pretty good. But what about their wood cutting band saw. They have it on sale for 300, normally 350, and I have a 20% coupon. Would that be such a bad purchase? Or should I just wait and get a Delta or Grizzly? So what does everyone think about the Central Machinery Wood Band Saw? Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have the wood cutting band saw and used it for the past 3 years,is it as good as a Jet or Delta. No but it does all I want it to. I cut scales and profile my handle material with it and it doesOk.As with the metal cutting bandsaw get a goodblade for it from Woodcrafter and it will doOk.
