They are actually tkc g10 scales.

I was way off on that one! I don’t have pics at moment of mine, and I must have used it more than I thought because the coating is pretty worn. Once I got the 20, I just put away the 29! I know I’ve said this already but if the bk20 were regular production, it would be as iconic as the 9! I now have enough 9’s (5 at last count)to last several lifetimes but, having only one(along with Mr. Becker’s blessing) makes it more special! Once the snow clears I will resume thrashing the bk20!

I'd say use it if you have a use. If not, enjoy fondling it. Big knives are like that for me.... they just seldom ever get used, but that hasn't stopped me from buying them.
